Last night was fun, as a Bible study group we went out to dinner and I had some super good fries!!! It wasn't French food by any stretch of the imagination but it sure was good. We then talked about our dreams and being a dangerous dreamer. I realized that I may not be the dreamer but rather the person who can put others dreams into action. Or maybe I just need to dream more in general.
Today had an interesting start when I hit my foot on a wall and subsequently almost passed out...that was quite interesting and now my toe is... never-mind too much information. I then went and bought many souvenirs at the market! Including a basket for myself when I got to the vegetable market. I then got lunch and sat near an accordion player (which always adds to the French feel) I watched people go by and j'ai profite du soleil. (Or I enjoyed the sun...)
I then went history class and then I cleaned my room. Then I went to go catch the bus to Tammy's house for dinner. Public transportation is always an adventure. Tammy had given us explicit instructions but even with the instructions we had a heard time finding the bus. I actually had to ask people for help (a new skill I acquired here). We eventually found and got on the correct bus. Then we thought it was our stop because Tammy had said Vigne-Longues. But this stop was Vigne-Longues Haute...but the stops were going really fast so I pressed the button to get off. Rather safe than sorry. So we were dropped basically in the middle of no where and realized we got off a stop early so we decided to start walking to the next stop while I found Tammy's phone number. About half way to the next stop Tammy's husband found us! YAY!
Dinner was lovely and her house is gorgeous! Now this morning I am getting ready to depart for Paris!!! (But honestly I'm more excited to see my family! I just hope my program director lets me see them!)
They are on their way, it is Sat. night and they are excited to be on the plane to see you and Paris. Have fun.
