Approximately 50 days until I leave for France. 50 days until I leave my family.  50 days until I am immersed in another culture. 50 days until I speak French instead English. 50 days until leave my comfort zone. 

 

Sounds rather cryptic doesn't it? 

I have never been good with unknowns, I like to be in control, I like to plan, and right now I know nothing. I don't know where I will be staying, what classes I will be taking, what I need to pack, or even when I will be coming back to the States. All I know is that I am going. I also know that God will thankfully be coming with me. So here I am 50 days out. I'm a jumble of mixed emotions already. I'm nervous, excited, sad, but as Luke 12:25 says "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?" So I am going to make a conscious effort not to worry about the unknowns but rather to get excited about what God has in store for me in France!

So here is my blog! I am (hopefully) going to use this to keep everyone at home updated about my adventures in Aix. But I think that I will have much to learn even before I leave, so here it begins.
