The Palms of my Hands

So yesterday I had matriculation which is basically when I get to choose my classes. I am currently signed up for some classes that I think I am really going to like, including Spanish cuisine, psychology of learning a second language and social justice. On my way back an interesting thing happened.

All during orientation these women on the streets kept trying to hand us various pieces of plants and I wondered why. Well, I found out. As I was walking back from my matriculation, this woman shoves the plant in my hand saying its a gift and then proceeds to read my palms. Don't worry guys my life is going to be great! I am going to have a good job, mother two children, and have a very handsome husband. Now the whole time I am standing thinking "where is the catch?" I even held on to my purse a little tighter. When she finished she said "Now you pay me for good luck." HA! I personally believe that palm reading is against my faith! My future is in the hands of God not me. Why on earth would I pay her? So I shoved the plant back in her hand and said no and walked away. I'm probably cursed now but oh well!

Today we did a scavenger hunt around the city. Let's just say my team wasn't overly motivated so we probably lost. But it was still nice to get out and about since the weather is beautiful today with a nice breeze! It's supposed to rain too. This weekend is going to be a nice opportunity to relax before classes begin on Monday. Tomorrow we are going to Alcazar (not really sure what that is...I should probably look it up) Okay apparently its a royal palace...so that should be fun! Every day I am getting more more settled in here and I know that once classes start it will be even better! Keep those prayers coming guys!!
